Audley Sunningdale

A luxury retirement village is situated within the Sunningdale village vicinity, in close proximity to Ascot in the Berkshire region.

In this project, the steel framing system (SFS) panels were purposefully configured to provide structural support for downstand cladding panels, parapets, and the design of internal stairs. This demanded a departure from the conventional application of standard infill SFS panels. The majority of these systems were anchored to the underlying steel framework of the project.

Additionally, secondary steel elements were strategically designed at critical junctures to provide the necessary reinforcement for the SFS panels. WBD undertook the design of both the SFS and secondary steel support systems creating structural reports, setting out and fabrication drawings for both systems.
